2013 National WFFC Team Selection

Fly Fishing Canada is pleased to announce the selection of its national team to compete at the 33rd FIPS-Mouche World Fly Fishing Championship & Conservation Symposium to be held August 12-18, 2013, in Norway's Vefsna region.  The team members are:

  • John Nishi
  • Todd Oishi
  • Terence Courtoreille
  • Ivo Balinov
  • Byron Shepherd
  • Randy Taylor (Captain)

FFC is pleased with the very strong applicant pool for the 2013 national team, certainly the largest in the last ten years, which bodes well not only for the strength of this team, but also for future teams.  As usual, the team selection was made by an FFC committee consisting of at least five FFC directors/officers from across the country, and was based on FFC's scoring system, which rewards good finishes at past national and international events over the last five years.   In the end, the selection committee chose the six anglers with the highest accumulated points under FFC's scoring system.  Thank you to all who applied and please join us in congratulating the selected anglers.
