Following is an excerpt from an e-mail received earlier today. For those who are new to these updates, an explanation that two years ago, Marc Visconti of Whitby, Ont., competed in the Professional Division of the Ausable Two-fly Challenge in Wilmington, New York. A long-time sufferer of Crohn's disease, Marc decided to use his entry as a fund-raiser for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Local friends and acquaintances backed him, and Foundation received a cheque for nearly $500.
Marc is competing again on 19 May, and is once more raising funds. Shortly after this news was posted by e-mail to members of Fly Fishing Canada in late February, he was nudging $1,000 in donations and pledges from across Canada. Donations of $10 or more will receive a tax receipt from the CCFC. You may visit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada web site at www.ccfc.ca

I just want to say that I think the world of everybody in helping me in my quest to fight Crohn's and Colitis. This winter was particularly difficult for me at times making me appreciate your help that much more.
Several friends have asked when and where they should send the money to. If you have an outstanding donation and there are one or two. Then, simply send any donation, great or small, to me. Make sure the check is written out to the Crohn's and Colitis foundation of Canada but mail it to me at:
15 Coulton Crt.
With two weeks away I think I am pretty much ready to go. The room at the Hungry Trout is booked and I have made a list of everything that I am bringing. I am even toying with the idea of having a garage sale on the weekend to raise even more money. There will be more emails, of that you can be sure. In the meantime please feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have or drop me an email just to say hi.
