5th NFFC Update 46

Fly Fishing Canada President Randy Taylor is pleased to announce two clinics that should prove of interest to members....

In October 2007, John Horsey is coming to Fairmont Kenauk at Le Chateau Montebello in Montebello, Quebec, to conduct clinics on innovative and effective lake fishing techniques and strategies. The sponsors of the clinics include Fairmont Kenauk and Shep’s Catering.

John Horsey is one of the established leaders in international fly fishing. He has captained England on five separate occasions and is the only angler who has ever been appointed Captain of England at all four disciplines - World Team, European Team, Loch Style and Rivers. John will have represented England at international competitions no less than 27 times, a feat unrivalled by any other English angler.

Two clinics will be offered. Each is for two days: Thursday and Friday (11-12 October), and Saturday and Sunday (13-14 October). Each clinic will be held at Papineau Chalet and surrounding lakes, and they are intended to be informal, friendly and interactive. The price to attend a clinic is $495 CDN, which includes two nights accommodation at Papineau Chalet and all meals, which will be supplied by Shep’s Catering. There is a special rate of $375 CDN for youth anglers (18 and under). Profits, if any, will go to Fly Fishing Canada.

Further information concerning the event will be posted on the FFC website (www.flyfishingcanada.net) in the coming days.
