Call-to-Arms, 2025 Fips-Mouche Ladies World Fly Fishing Championships, Idaho, USA

Fly Fishing Canada (FFC) is seeking applicants for positions on our national team that will represent Fly Fishing Canada and compete at the 2025 FIPS-Mouche Ladies World Fly Fishing Championships that are scheduled to take place in Island Park, Idaho during late-September of 2025.

Applicants must be:
A Canadian citizen.
Having participated as a competitor at a Canadian National Fly Fishing Championship.
Experience at an international competition is preferred, but is NOT required.
A member of FFC and, if selected, maintain membership through 2024 and 2025. If you are not currently a member, you can join by sending a $45 e-transfer to Flyfishingcanada2@gmail.com

Team selection is by a committee made up of at least two members of the FFC Board, two former captains of a World or Commonwealth team, that are not members of the board, plus two other members of FFC. The selection committee will vote to select five competitors per team, plus the reserve, whose role will be made clear at the time of their acceptance of that position on the team. Applications for Captain or Manager are also welcome.

The process of selecting the teams will be based mainly on NRP rankings earned during the 2022/2023 Season. Other criteria include possessing the applicable skill set to suit the competition venues, a “team first” mentality, and being a good ambassador for Canada and FFC.
