2025 National Fly Fishing Championships
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT No.1.
Fly Fishing Canada (FFC) is pleased to announce that Les Moucheurs EnDiablés (LME) will host the 21st National Fly Fishing Championship (NFFC 21) in Mont-Tremblant, Québec from July 2 to 5, 2025.
The event will be sanctioned by the FFC and the competitors will compete for 1,000 FFC national ranking points.
The event is open to Canadian citizens who will hold current memberships in LME and FFC (Note that your registration fee to NNFC 21 will include your membership to LME).
The competition will follow the current FFC/FIPS-mouche rules, with the following modifications: - All sessions will be competitor controlled.
- Fish may be measured in some areas.
- There are no restrictions on pre-fishing.
- Specific rule changes will be discussed at the Captains meeting.
- Local regulations will be lifted for the week of the event, bead heads will be allowed.
At the moment there will be four sessions on the river and one session on the lake. The 3-hour lake sessions will be competitor controlled by your boat partner. River sessions will last 4 hours, each competitor fishing a total of 2 hours and being controlled by their beat partner. Note that this format may be modified at a later date depending on the participation level. River areas will be on the Diable River and the lake area remains to be determined. Given the wide choice of accommodation in the region, no host hotel has been designated. The Welcome Meeting and Medal Ceremony as well as the ride-sharing will be held at locations to be determined.

The registration fee (including LME 2025 membership) is $450.00/pp. payable to Les Moucheurs EnDiablés no later than April 27, 2025.

Pêche à la mouche Canada (PMC) est heureux d’annoncer que Les Moucheurs EnDiablés (LME) sera l’hôte du 21ième Championnat canadien de pêche à la mouche (CCPM 21) à Mont-Tremblant Québec, du 2 au 5 juillet 2025. L’événement sera sanctionné par la FFC et les compétiteurs se disputeront 1000 points de classement national PMC. Le CCPM est ouvert aux citoyens canadiens qui détiendront une adhésion à LME et à PMC. (Notez que votre enregistrement au CCPM 21 comprendra votre adhésion 2025 à LME).
La compétition suivra les règles PMC/FIPS-mouche, avec les modifications suivantes : - Toutes les sessions seront contrôlées par les compétiteurs.
- Le poisson peut être mesuré dans certains secteurs.
- Il n’y a pas de restrictions à la pré-pêche.
- Les modifications spécifiques aux règles seront discutées lors de la réunion des capitaines.
- Les règlements locaux seront levés pour la semaine de l’événement, les têtes « bead head » seront autorisées.
Il y aura quatre sessions sur la rivière et une session sur le lac. Les Sessions en lac dureront 3 heures d’autocontrôle par les partenaires du bateau. Les Sessions en rivière dureront 4 heures, chaque concurrent pêchant un total de 2 heures et étant contrôlé par son partenaire de parcours. Notez que cet horaire pourrait faire l’objet de modifications selon le nombre de participants. Les secteurs en rivière seront sur la Rivière du Diable et le secteur lac reste à déterminer. Compte tenu du vaste choix d’hébergement dans la région, aucun hôtel hôte n’a été désigné. La rencontre d’accueil et cérémonie de médailles ainsi que pour le covoiturage auront lieu à des endroits à déterminer.

Annual General Meeting
Sunday December 8, 2024 at 3:00 PM PST VIA Zoom/Teams.
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Fly Fishing Canada (FFC) will be held on Sunday, December 8. 2024 at 3:00 PM PST via Zoom/Teams. A Zoom/Teams link for the meeting and the minutes from the 2023 AGM will be sent out once we get closer to the date.
All members of FFC in good standing are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting and are eligible to vote. To vote by proxy you must fill out and sign an official FFC proxy form. That proxy must be held and presented in person on camera by a member of FFC at the time of the AGM.
NOMINATIONS
There are 6 Board of Director positions that will become open this year. Fly Fishing Canada members in good standing are welcome and encouraged to submit applications and nominations for these positions.
As per the bylaws of the corporation, elected officers serve a two year term.
Applications and nominations must be made with a short introduction of the individual. Nominations must be accepted by that individual prior to being nominated.
Nominees must be prepared to contribute time and expertise in order to fulfill certain functions which will be determined by the newly elected group of officers.
The officers will also be required to participate in and lead committees and report to the president.

Elections to the Board of Directors are decided by a show of hands on camera by the members present at the AGM and by the compilation of proxy votes. Elected officers will name a president, secretary, and treasurer post election.

Avis est par la présente donné que l'assemblée générale annuelle (AGA) de Fly Fishing Canada (FFC) aura lieu le dimanche 8 décembre 2024 à 15h00 PST via Zoom/Équipes. Un lien Zoom/Équipes pour la réunion et le procès-verbal de l'AGA 2023 sera envoyé à l'approche de la date.
Tous les membres en règle de la FFC sont fortement encouragés à assister à l'assemblée et ont le droit de voter. Pour voter par procuration, vous devez remplir et signer un formulaire de procuration officiel de la FFC. Cette procuration doit être détenue et présentée personnellement devant la caméra par un membre de la FFC lors de l'Assemblée Générale.
NOMINATIONS
Six postes au sein du conseil d’administration seront ouverts cette année. Les membres en règle de Fly Fishing Canada sont les bienvenus et encouragés à soumettre des candidatures et des candidatures pour ces postes.
Conformément aux statuts de la société, les dirigeants élus ont un mandat de deux ans.

2024 Women's National Fly Fishing Championships
2024 Canadian Women’s Fly Fishing Championship
The 3rd Annual Canadian Women’s National Fly Fishing Championship will be held in Rocky Mountain House, AB, September 20-22.
There will be four sessions held over two days, with two lake venues and one river venue. Closing ceremony to be held the evening of September 22 @ Cow Lake Resort (meal included)
Competition will follow FIPS-Mouche rules with the following exceptions:
✷ Lake sessions will be competitor controlled
✷ Fish will not be measured but recorded as a 20cm fish
Registration ✷ opens February 15, 2024. 16 anglers maximum. Email WNFFC2024@outlook.com to register
Entry fee ✷ $500, which includes competitor shared accommodations at the Cow Lake Resort and Store (10 minutes North of Rocky Mountain House). Entry fee e-transfer to WNFFC2024@outlook.com by April 1, 2024.

2024 Canadian National Fly Fishing Championships
2024 Canadian National Fly-Fishing Championship
The Fly Fishing Canada is proud to announce that the British Columbia Fly Fishing League will be hosting this year Canadian National Fly Fishing Championship in Princeton, BC, from July 4th to July 6th, 2024. This marks the twentieth anniversary of the national championship. The event is open to Canadian Residents who hold a current 2024 FFC Membership.
There will be 2 lake session, 3 river sessions and a rest session. The venues will be Corbett Lake, Batstone Lake and the Similkameen River between the town of Princeton and the highway bridge 7km west of Hedley. There will be a 30 day closure on all competition venues starting June 4, 2024. Practice water will be announced in a follow up email.
Competition Will follow FIPS-Mouche rules, with the following rule modifications:
· All sessions will be competitor controlled
· Fish in the lakes will be measured
· Fish in the river will be not measured but recorded as a 20cm fish
· Single fly (BC fishing regulation)
Registration: Opens February 1, 2024, at 12pm PST. Can register as a team or as an individual by emailing interior.bcffl@gmail.com. Individuals will be teamed up after March 15 to allow teams to form or to fill vacancies before payment deadline.

BC Provincial River Championship
The BCFFL and Fly Fishing Canada will be hosting the BC Provincial 2-day River Fly Fishing Competition of the 2023 season in the Fraser Valley.
Date of event: Saturday and Sunday, August 19th and 20th, 2023
Time: 8:00am - 4:00pm (time is approximate at this stage)
Location: Yet to be finalized (Lower Mainland – Abbotsford to Chilliwack))
This event will have the following basic details:
Two day event on two separate rivers
Anglers will be divided into two groups (or more) with one half of the anglers fishing River 1 one day, and then fishing River 2 on the other day (while the other half of competitors does the opposite)
Anglers will further be divided into smaller groups to fish together on the same beats and to server as controllers for each other
Location will be finalized closer to the event date, but will be located on a river(s) in the Lower Mainland (subject to water conditions)
The targeted species shall be trout, char and whitefish (not salmon)
Entrance Fee $10 per FFC registered angler ($15 for others)
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be presented to the finalists
Anglers will be randomly drawn into groups and teams that will stay together through the day
Anglers will be responsible for their own food and driving arrangements
The event will follow and comply with Fips-Mouche rules of 2021 (i.e. no indicators, split shot, etc...)
The event will be capped at 32 competitors at this time (but may be expanded based upon water conditions)
This event will be an FFC sanctioned event
Registration for the event will be done by email to Chris Puchniak (see email below) with registration being accepted starting on July 17th at 8:00 am.
The registration fee can be paid by e-transfer or in person at the event - the fee covers the costs of the medals, and any amount left over will be donated to the Canadian Youth Fly Fishing team.

2023 Canadian National Fly Fishing Championships
Les Moucheurs EnDiablé will host the Nineteenth Canadian National Fly-Fishing in Mont-Tremblant Quebec. The event will be sanctioned by FFC, and anglers will compete for 900 National Ranking Points.
