2023 Canadian National Fly Fishing Championships

Fly Fishing Canada is pleased to announce that les Moucheurs EnDiablé will host the Nineteenth Canadian National Fly-Fishing

Championships in Mont-Tremblant Quebec, from the 6 to 8 July 2023.

The event will be sanctioned by FFC, and anglers will compete for 900 National Ranking Points.

The event is open to Canadian citizens holding a current 2023 FFC membership.

The competition will follow FIPS-mouche rules, with the following rule modifications:

  • All sessions will be competitor controlled.

  • Fish may be measured in certain sectors.

  • There are no restrictions to pre fishing.

  • Specific rule modifications will be discussed at the captains meeting.

  • Local regulations will be lifted for the week of the event, bead heads are permitted.

There will be four river sessions and one lake session. Lake Sessions will be 3 hours self-controlled by boat partners. River Sessions will be 4 hours with each competitor fishing a total of 2 hours and being controlled by their beat partner.

The river sectors will be on the Riviere du Diable and the lake sector is to be determined (TBD).

Given the vast choice of accommodation here no host hotel has been designated.

Meetings and car pooling will take place at locations to be determined.


Registration & Entry fee:

$400.00 to be paid to les Moucheurs EnDiablé no later than April 15, 2023.

  • Open Distance Fly Casting Competition held from 14:00 to 17:30

  • Followed by the medal and trophy presentations at 17:30.
